What is a soil amendment?

Soil amendments are any material added to a soil to improve its physical properties, be it density, texture, pH level or drainage.

For any seed to grow and bloom properly, the soil must be properly balanced to obtain consistent results. The most important factors are water retention, drainage, aeration and density.

The goal is to provide the optimum growing medium for anything with a root structure and amending the existing soil to match whatever is being planted is extremely important.
