Dirt Cheap regularly partners with schools through the Waterloo Region District School Board and other school boards, as part of our mission to support the local community. Some examples of recent partners are Forest Glen Public School and Baden Public School. We believe these partnerships offer a great opportunity to teach children about respecting nature and buying local.
Our fundraisers are door-to-door campaigns run by the students – but don’t worry about kids carrying around bags of dirt! The students distribute Dirt Cheap flyers within their local neighbourhoods and Dirt Cheap does all the heavy lifting. The work takes care of itself!
Money raised through these fundraisers goes towards some of the following things:
- Class trips for kids
- Guest speakers at assemblies
- New playground equipment
- Upgraded technology in science classrooms or computer labs
- Improved resources for arts & music departments
- And many other projects!
We’ve received so much positive feedback from school councils and we look forward to continued success in the future! If you or your school would like to participate in one of these fundraisers, please contact us for more information.
